Similarity and Plagiarism Policy

  1. Authors must ensure that submissions are original works, with appropriate citations for any referenced materials.
  2. Plagiarism in any form constitutes unethical publishing behavior and is strictly prohibited by Journal of Teaching & Research.
  3. All submitted manuscripts will be screened using Turnitin to assess the similarity index and potential plagiarism.
  4. Direct quotations from the author(s)' previously published works or other sources must be enclosed in quotation marks and properly cited.
  5. The overall similarity index must not exceed 15%.
  6. The similarity index from any single source must not exceed 3%.
  7. Authors must declare in the author agreement form that the manuscript meets the similarity requirements.
  8. If a manuscript exceeds the 15% similarity threshold, it may be rejected outright or subjected to conditional acceptance at the discretion of the editorial board.
  9. Authors may be given an opportunity to revise the work to align with the journal’s plagiarism policy.

Policy Statement
Authors must disclose any use of generative AI tools in the writing process. This includes AI-powered text generators such as:

Notion AI

ChatGPT with internet

Midjourney

Authors should specify:

  1. The AI tool used and the extent of its involvement in the writing process.
  2. The impact of AI tools on the manuscript, including effects on content, structure, or style.
  3. A proper citation or acknowledgment of the AI tool if applicable.
  4. This policy does not apply to essential tools used for grammar checking, spell checking, or reference management, which do not require disclosure.

Declaration Statement of Generative AI Use:
"The author(s) of this work used [AI tool name] to [describe the specific use, e.g., draft sections, generate ideas, or improve readability]. After utilizing the tool, the author(s) reviewed and revised the content to ensure accuracy and take full responsibility for the final manuscript."
