Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Author Guidelines

Authors are invited to submit their manuscripts to Journal of Teaching & Research (JTR). All submissions will undergo an initial editorial review to determine whether they meet the journal’s aims, scope, and basic quality standards. Submissions that are a good fit will be sent for double-blind peer review.

Before submitting, authors are responsible for ensuring that all included materials (e.g., images, documents, datasets) have appropriate permission for publication. All listed authors must have approved the submission and agree to be named. Where applicable, the research must have been approved by an ethics committee in accordance with the legal and institutional requirements of the country in which the study was conducted.

Submissions that do not meet minimum academic or presentation standards may be desk rejected. Before submitting, please ensure that your research question is clear, your study is well-structured, and your writing is concise and coherent. The title should be specific, and the abstract should clearly summarize the study on its own. These improvements increase the likelihood of your paper moving forward in the review process.

Copyright Retention
Authors retain copyright of their work. Upon acceptance and publication, authors grant the journal the right of first publication.

License to Publish
All articles will be published under the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0). This license permits use, distribution, and reproduction in any medium, provided the original author and source are credited.

Author Rights
Authors may:

  • Share the published version of their article (e.g., in institutional repositories or personal websites)

  • Reuse content for teaching or future research

  • Republish the work elsewhere with proper citation to the original publication in JTR

Third-Party Content
Authors must obtain permission for any third-party material (e.g., images, tables, figures) not covered by the CC BY license and clearly acknowledge the source in the manuscript.

By submitting to JTR, the author confirms that:

  • The manuscript is original, has not been published elsewhere, and is not under review by another journal.

  • The content does not infringe upon any copyright or intellectual property rights.

  • All co-authors have approved the manuscript and agree to its submission.

The Journal of Teaching & Research (JTR) is committed to protecting the privacy of authors, reviewers, editors, and users of our journal website. This privacy statement outlines how we collect, use, store, and protect your personal information.

Information Collection

We collect personal data including names, email addresses, institutional affiliations, ORCID iDs, and other information necessary for the editorial and peer review process. This information is collected during user registration, manuscript submission, and editorial communication.

Personal information collected will only be used for the purposes of journal management, including:

  • Processing submissions and managing peer review

  • Communicating with authors and reviewers

  • Managing editorial workflows

  • Publishing accepted articles with appropriate author details

We do not use personal data for marketing or commercial purposes.

Data Sharing and Confidentiality

Personal data will not be shared with third parties unless required by law or with the explicit consent of the individual. Submitted manuscripts and reviewer reports are treated as confidential documents. Editors and staff are required to maintain confidentiality at all stages of the editorial process.

Data Storage and Protection

All user data is stored securely on servers operated under the Open Journal Systems (OJS) platform. Reasonable administrative and technical measures are in place to protect data from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction.

 User Rights

Registered users may access, modify, or request deletion of their personal data by contacting the editorial office. You may also request to withdraw your account from the system.

Cookies

Our website uses session cookies to manage user sessions and system performance. No personal information is stored in cookies.

By registering with JTR or submitting a manuscript, users consent to the terms of this privacy statement.
